Bio Fresh out of the Auburn University fine arts program, Martha had dreams of working in an advertising agency. Starting her odyssey in Mobile, Alabama in 1982 at Barney & Patrick Advertising, she cut her teeth working on a wide array of accounts. Deciding to freelance, after the agency landed on an unfortunate situation, is how she really got an education. Handling a hospital account from media to account service, while art directing and producing work, she learned the ins and outs of every aspect of the business. With a new marriage and the renovation of a hundred-year-old house, Martha accepted another position at Barney & Patrick. She continued on there till her move to Asheville, North Carolina in 1990. The Alpha Group was her career outlet until its recent close in August of 2008. At Alpha, Martha worked on a variety of accounts from retail to business-to-business to health care to real estate to supermarket. Martha lives in Asheville, North Carolina with her husband and two children. She is currently a freelance art director. Resume and references upon request. |
